Your records,
rebornlive.

Kraken Vinyl Elixir strips decades of clicks, crackle, hiss, rumble and hum the instant your needle hits the groove — without stealing the warmth that makes vinyl worth playing.

A hi-fi restoration engine wrapped in a vintage-receiver interface. Predictive DSP that rebuilds the waveform instead of muting it. Runs on hardware you own — a Raspberry Pi 5 or an x86 mini-PC — no cloud.

Why it's different

Eight arms. One clean signal.

A full restoration chain running in parallel, in real time — each stage tuned to protect the music.

🎯

Predictive de-click

Linear prediction (AR/LSAR) rebuilds the missing waveform under each pop from the music around it. You hear the note — not a hole.

De-crackle

A retuned predictor hunts the dense surface crackle the de-click stage leaves behind — without smearing the highs.

🌫️

Spectral de-noise

Learns the hiss from a silent groove, then gates it out with minimum-statistics spectral subtraction. Kills noise, keeps air.

〰️

Rumble & hum

Subsonic rumble high-pass plus a 50/60 Hz notch bank that removes mains hum and its harmonics dead.

🎧

Hear what's removed

The killer feature: solo the clicks, crackle, or hiss on their own. If you hear the song in there, it's wrong — and it won't.

🎚️

Tone EQ

Eight-band graphic EQ with genre presets — Classical, Rock, Country, Jazz, Warm Vinyl — applied after cleanup.

📟

10 vintage meters

Analog VU, Russian magic-eye tubes (6E5, 6E1P, 6E2/EM87), 80s VFD, stereo spectrum, peak/dB — switch on the fly.

📊

Proof, not promises

Built-in analysis renders Raw vs Cleaned vs Removed — spectrograms, correlation scores, downloadable WAVs of every stage.

The lore

Why Kraken Vinyl Elixir

The name

The Kraken is the legendary deep-sea beast — many arms, working every part of the ocean at once. That's exactly what this engine does to your record: eight arms of DSP reaching into the signal simultaneously — one pulling out clicks, one crushing crackle, one gating hiss, one filtering rumble, one killing hum, and more shaping the tone — all in the same instant, live, as the needle rides the groove.

Why "Elixir"

An elixir is a potion that restores and revives. Old records are full of life but buried under decades of surface noise. Kraken Vinyl Elixir is the potion that brings them back — clean, clear, and alive — without stripping out the warmth and soul that make vinyl worth listening to.

So… go drop a needle. The Kraken's got the rest.

Questions

Does it change the sound of the music?
No — that's the whole design goal. Every stage is measured against the original: cleaned audio stays ≈99.9% correlated to the input while removed noise stays near-zero correlated. You can solo exactly what's being taken out and confirm by ear.
What do I need to run it?
A Raspberry Pi 5 or an x86 mini-PC running Linux, a USB turntable (or an RCA→USB ADC), and powered speakers or a USB DAC. The one-line installer sets up everything else.
Is it really real-time?
Yes. Audio flows turntable → Kraken → speakers with roughly 48 ms of latency — you won't notice it while a record plays. Nothing is pre-rendered.
Can I hear what it removed?
Absolutely. The Monitor selector solos the removed clicks, crackle, or hiss on their own — so you always know it's pulling out defects, not music.
Why choose Kraken Vinyl Elixir over a store-bought unit?
Store-bought restoration boxes are fixed hardware — you're stuck with whatever converters and processing they shipped. With Kraken Vinyl Elixir you choose your own hardware: run it on the Raspberry Pi or mini-PC and audio interfaces you want, and pair it with our certified ADC/DAC for reference-grade fidelity. Same software brains, but a signal path you control and can upgrade over time.
Why is it called Kraken Vinyl Elixir?
The Kraken is the many-armed deep-sea beast — and this engine reaches into your record with eight arms of DSP at once: pulling out clicks, crushing crackle, gating hiss, filtering rumble, killing hum, and shaping the tone — all in the same instant, live. And an elixir is a potion that restores and revives: it brings old records back clean, clear and alive, without stripping the warmth and soul that make vinyl worth listening to.
Wait… a Kraken? 🐙
Many arms, working every part of the ocean at once — same as the engine works every part of your record. See for yourself:
When does Kraken Vinyl Elixir release?
Q3 / Q4 2026. We're fine-tuning the engine and testing additional hardware so it runs great across more turntables, interfaces and DACs. Hit "Coming Soon" to follow along for the launch.
How can I get the Early Access Beta?
The Early Access Beta is invitation-only. Accepted volunteers get 90 days of Beta access to help report bugs, test additional hardware, and drive the software to gold status by Q3 / Q4 2026. As a thank-you, Beta users receive a free copy of Kraken Vinyl Elixir.
